HSEQ

HSEQ Policy

PlastShop.se works with products that affect the working environment, safety, the environment and quality in our customers' operations. Our HSEQ system exists to make sure we live up to our responsibility toward customers, employees, suppliers, society and the environment.

Overall goals

Summary

The purpose of this documentation:
  • Systematically manage, follow up and improve our work within Health, Safety, Environment and Quality.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Protect our brand and our long-term business through responsible conduct.
HSEQ runs through our whole operation, from purchasing, warehousing and logistics to sales, customer contact and supplier relations.

Our commitment

We will:
  • Protect people's health and safety through preventive work.
  • Minimize environmental impact through circular flows, sustainable material choices and responsible logistics.
  • Make sure our products and services meet customer requirements, legal requirements and our own quality goals.
  • Work continuously on improvement and learning.
  • Create a safe, healthy, open and inclusive workplace.
  • This policy applies to every part of the business and guides how we make decisions, evaluate suppliers and meet customer expectations.

Organization and responsibility

CEO/management team
Employees
Suppliers
Overall responsibility, decisions, resources, policy.
Follow procedures, report deviations, contribute to improvements.
Follow agreements, requirement specifications, the code of conduct, and environmental and working-environment requirements.

Responsibility is made clear through work descriptions (procedures), onboarding and regular communication. Management is responsible for following up that the system is complied with.

Risk management

To prevent injuries, incidents, environmental impact and quality failures before they happen. Risk management is the foundation of proactive HSEQ work.
  • Health and working environment
Internally: ergonomics, physical strain, stress, accidents.
    Externally: handling and machining.
  • Safety
Covering areas such as IT, fire, chemicals, machining, machinery and storage.
  • Environment
Spills, recycling, waste, energy use and transports.
  • Quality
Faulty deliveries, production deviations and claims.
We assess the risks using checklists and incident reports.

Health and Safety (H&S)

A safe workplace

Our goal is a safe and secure workplace where risks are kept to a minimum. This includes:
  • Workplace design (ergonomics, noise, lighting).
  • Protective equipment (PPE), when and how it is used.
  • Work instructions that minimize risk.
  • Safety procedures: fire, first aid, crisis plan.
  • Alcohol and drug policy.
  • Work adaptation and rehabilitation in case of ill health.
The work is followed up with safety inspections, health checks, statistics on near misses and sick leave, and employee surveys.

Environment (E)

Minimizing environmental impact

We are fully aware that our materials can have a large impact on the environment, over a very long time. That is exactly why we, as a supplier, carry a particular responsibility to influence what we can. This work includes:
  • A sustainable range (recycled materials, life-cycle thinking).
  • Recycling and material take-back.
  • Following waste rules (hazardous waste, sorting).
  • Energy-efficient logistics (load factor, short transports, climate-smart packaging).
  • Continuous improvement: less waste, lower resource use, coordinated transports.
The work is followed up through key figures and supplier audits.

Quality (Q)

The right product in the right place, every time

To make sure the right product ends up in the right place, every order is confirmed with a written quotation or an order confirmation to the customer. Our manufacturer or machining partner then receives a written purchase order. The quality goals cover:
  • Clear requirement specifications to suppliers.
  • Approval of new products.
  • Marking and traceability of products.
  • Procedures for handling deviations and claims.
  • Ongoing employee training on quality and customer requirements.
  • Continuous improvement: lessons from mistakes, improvement proposals, customer requests.
We follow up quality through reporting on deviations, claim statistics, delivery precision and customer satisfaction surveys

Reporting

So we can improve

The way we see it, reporting gives us our own evidence for improving internally, finding bottlenecks, following trends and preventing repeats. The following is therefore reported:
  • Deviations (from procedures, processes, requirements, laws).
  • Near misses and accidents.
  • Environmental incidents.
  • Quality problems.
  • Delivery problems.
  • Improvement proposals.
The deviation procedure is built on report → root cause → action plan. Actions are documented, owners appointed and deadlines set.

Communication

Everyone should have the knowledge

We all share the responsibility, and everyone should know what their part of it is. That is why we make sure:
  • Every new employee gets an introduction training.
  • HSEQ knowledge is refreshed yearly.
  • Instructions, signage and communication through meetings and the intranet are clear.
  • Supplier requirements are communicated clearly.

Follow-up

To see how we are doing

A management system is wasted without follow-up. What we look at:
  • Key figures: deviations, incidents, sick leave, environmental impact and claims.
  • Internal audits: review of procedures, goals and legal requirements.
  • Management review: evaluation, decisions on improvements, resources
