This is an industrial caster in a fixed bracket, built as a twin wheel with treads in ElastoPUR and hubs in cast iron. The tread sits at the softer end of the ElastoPUR scale, 83 degrees Shore A, which gives a super-elastic polyurethane that damps and runs softly. The fixed bracket makes the caster roll straight and hold its direction, made to be the steady pair of casters in a towed rig.

The softer tread settles easily against the floor and absorbs vibration and shocks, which keeps down both noise and wear on the goods. Soft still does not mean sluggish; ElastoPUR has a low rolling resistance in relation to its elasticity, so the wheel gets going without unnecessary force even with many starts and stops. The polyurethane takes abrasion well and resists most oils, greases and mild chemicals in a workshop. Compared with a harder ElastoPUR around 93 degrees Shore A, this tread damps more and runs more softly over joints and uneven surfaces, but it deforms somewhat more under load and therefore does not roll quite as easily at the highest weights. Against a hard nylon wheel the difference is even bigger; the nylon rolls the most easily and carries the most on a smooth floor but makes more noise and can scratch sensitive surfaces. You choose this softness when the floor is not completely even or when quiet, gentle running weighs heavily.

The cast iron hub gives stiffness and carrying capacity; it is the solid core that holds the shape at high weight and carries the load without giving way. Inside sit double ball bearings that spread the load over two rows of balls and give smooth running under heavy load. The twin wheel construction places two treads side by side and spreads the weight over a wider area, which keeps the rig stable. The series handles load capacities up to 1500 kg per wheel.

The wheels come in diameters from 150 to 250 mm. A larger diameter rolls more easily over thresholds and joints and lowers the rolling resistance, while a smaller one keeps the overall height down where space under the cart is limited. The bracket is mounted with a top plate, four screw holes against a flat underframe, which gives a stable fastener and makes the caster easy to replace. The series is supplied without a brake and is made for straight, towed transport.

Where does it fit? Soft ElastoPUR in a fixed bracket sits under heavy transport carts, assembly carts, machine underframes and towed trailers in industry and warehousing. The damping tread makes it a good choice where heavy loads are rolled quietly and gently over an industrial floor with joints, for example in a production hall with cable ducts or expansion joints. As the direction-holding pair of casters in a rig, it complements swivel casters that handle the steering.

Think about the operating environment. Polyurethane is happiest at normal indoor temperature and in dry to slightly damp environments. If the wheel stands still for a long time under full load, the softer tread can take a temporary flat spot that rolls out after a while; that is normal for elastic materials. If you want to avoid it entirely with a fully loaded cart that is often parked, a harder tread may be preferable.
