This is an industrial caster with a fixed bracket and two wheels side by side, where the tread is cast polyurethane and the hub nylon PA6. The combination is made for heavy transport that has to run straight and be gentle on the floor at the same time. The PUR tread has a hardness of 98 degrees Shore A, a firm surface but not rock hard, and the twin wheel spreads the load across two running surfaces. The series handles load capacities up to 1350 kg per unit.

Polyurethane is a good middle ground between hard and soft. The tread gives low rolling resistance in relation to its wear strength, so the caster gets moving and rolls without unnecessary force, while it settles slightly against the floor and takes up small unevenness. That keeps both vibration and noise down compared with a completely stiff plastic tread, and PUR is far gentler on the floor than a hard nylon wheel is.

The difference against the neighboring materials is worth understanding. A soft rubber wheel runs even more quietly and absorbs more shock, but it compresses under load and takes less weight. A hard wheel made entirely of nylon carries more and rolls the easiest, but it makes noise and can scratch sensitive floors. PUR lands in between: high wear strength and good load capacity, low rolling resistance and a tread that leaves no marks on painted or polished concrete. That makes it a tough all-round choice for workshop floors.

The PA6 hub gives the wheel a lighter, corrosion-free body that still carries the load without deforming. Nylon does not rust and handles moisture and cleaning well, which is an advantage in places where the floor is hosed down or where water and mild chemicals occur. Inside the hub sit double ball bearings that put the weight on two rows of balls and keep a smooth, stable run even under heavy and long-lasting load.

The fixed bracket locks the wheel direction so the unit rolls straight. That gives good tracking in transport lanes and along straight runs, and it is typically combined with swivel casters at the other end of the cart to get both guidance and maneuvering. The bracket is fastened with a top plate, four screw holes against a stable underframe.

The wheels come in diameters from 150 to 200 mm. The larger diameter rolls more easily over joints and thresholds and lowers the rolling resistance, while the smaller one keeps the overall height down where the space under the cart is limited. Within this range you choose mainly on how even the floor is and how heavy the load is.

Where does it fit? A PUR tread with a PA6 hub and a fixed bracket goes under transport carts, assembly carts, material carts and machine underframes in workshops, warehouses and lighter manufacturing. The soft but tough tread makes the caster a good choice where you want to move a heavy load without wearing on the floor and without unnecessary noise. The twin wheel spreads the load and gives a stable roll even with concentrated weights.

Think about the operating environment. Polyurethane is happy at normal indoor temperature and in dry to slightly damp surroundings, and it resists most oils and greases in a workshop. If the caster stands still for a long time under full load the tread can take a temporary flat spot that rolls out after a while; that is normal for elastic materials and disappears in use.
