Think about the operating environment. Polyurethane is happiest at normal indoor temperature and in dry to slightly damp environments. If the caster stands still for a long time under full load, the tread can take a temporary flat spot that rolls out after a while; that is normal for elastic materials. The aluminum hub takes moisture without rusting, which is an advantage in premises where the floor is hosed down or wiped regularly.

This is a swiveling industrial caster with a tread in ElastoPUR and a hub in aluminum, mounted on a swivel bracket with a top plate. The caster is made for transport where an easy rolling and quiet run is to be combined with good maneuverability. The swivel bracket turns through 360 degrees, so the wheel follows through turns and makes the cart easy to steer through aisles and in toward workstations. The top plate, a square plate with four screw holes, gives a stable and proven fastening against the cart frame.

The tread is a soft super elastic polyurethane around 75 Shore A. It lays itself compliantly against the floor, takes up small shocks and keeps both noise and vibration down. Despite the softness, ElastoPUR has a low rolling resistance, so the caster gets going without unnecessary force. That is an advantage with many starts and stops, for example on an internal transport round or at a packing station. The polyurethane takes abrasion well and resists most oils, greases and mild chemicals in a workshop. Set against a hard nylon wheel it rolls somewhat heavier but is clearly quieter and gentler on the floor; set against a softer rubber tread it holds its shape better under load and takes chemicals better.

The hub in aluminum is light and stiff and resists corrosion. It carries the load and holds the shape of the wheel even under load, without adding unnecessary weight, which makes the cart handy to move by hand. Inside the hub sit ball bearings that give low friction and an even run. The series handles load capacities up to 850 kg per wheel in the coarser sizes, which makes it useful even for heavier transport tasks.

The wheels come in diameters from 80 to 250 mm, a broad span that covers both light work carts and heavier platforms. A smaller diameter keeps the overall height down where space is limited and the load moderate, while a larger one rolls more easily over joints and thresholds and lowers the rolling resistance as the weight goes up. With a top plate the mounting is simple and steady against most cart frames.

The soft tread makes it a good choice on painted or ground concrete and tiles, where a quiet and floor friendly run is wanted.
