It is built in PVC blended with nitrile, a tough and oil resistant plastic hose. The material stands up to oil and wear better than plain PVC, while the weak point is high heat. This product, PVC-NBR, is meant for industrial use where the properties of the material come into their own. The material PVC in PVC-NBR gives a combination of strength and chemical resistance for industrial applications. Use PVC-NBR in lightweight applications where corrosion resistance and electrical insulation are valuable.
