    PFA (perfluoroalkoxy) is a fully fluorinated fluoroplastic with extreme chemical resistance and a temperature ceiling of 260 degrees. This sheet has aramid fabric on the back, the code AB in the name. Fluoroplastic cannot be bonded, so the fabric gives the adhesive something to grip mechanically when the sheet is to be fixed against a substrate.

    All technical values apply to the fluoroplastic layer itself, not the fabric. The material takes down to -190 degrees without becoming brittle and does not fail in impact testing. The density is 2.15 and the layer only starts to melt above 305 degrees. The yield strength is 15 MPa and the laminate joint has a shear strength above 5 MPa. The sheet burns slowly, rated UL 94 V-0.

    The sheet measures 1500 x 1500 mm and is 0.8 mm thin, natural and uncolored. The thin gauge and the aramid back mean it is made to be bonded to a load-bearing surface, for example as chemical protection inside a steel tank. If you want it cut to an exact size, add CTS to the cart.
