Sheet in SwedBoard Fibre Nature 3200x1600x16 mm brown
SwedBoard Fibre in brown has the same build as the white fiberboard but with a brown shade through the whole body. The color is even and calls to mind untreated paper pulp or light kraft liner, which gives a warm surface that suits interiors with wood, leather and natural materials.
The material consists of compressed paper fibers held together into a homogeneous board. The edge has the same color as the surface, so a cut in a CNC or on a circular saw comes out clean without revealing a contrasting core. That is a practical property in signage, interiors and exhibitions, where a visible edge otherwise often calls for edge banding or finishing.
The stiffness is good for the weight of the material, and the sheet moves minimally in normal handling. In lighter machining on a bench or a router table it lies still without heavy fixtures. The material is dimensionally stable in a controlled indoor climate, but takes up moisture over time in damp environments. Use it indoors, then, or in places with a dry microclimate.
Typical uses:
Signs and information material where a natural, warm color is wanted.
Backgrounds in store interiors and exhibitions.
Design products and furniture parts, for example drawer bottoms and shelf boards.
Prototypes, mockups and presentation sketches.
Framing and backing boards for photos and prints.
Machining is done with ordinary tools from the wood and plastics side. Circular saw, jigsaw, CNC router and drill all work without special tooling. A sharp edge gives the cleanest cut. Gluing works well with PVA, contact adhesive or epoxy, and the material accepts paint and print if the surface is prepared first. The brown shade means it can often be used untreated where the background should blend in with wooden furniture or natural materials.
Span and load govern the choice of thickness. Thin sheets are easier to handle and suit graphic applications, while thicker versions give higher stiffness over longer edges. Because the color runs through the whole body, small scratches and wear in the surface are less visible than on a plastic board where a brown layer sits on top of another color.
Store the sheets flat, preferably on a pallet or lying on a workbench, in a dry climate. Avoid moisture and large temperature swings. Machining creates paper dust, so normal extraction and a dust mask for longer runs are recommended.
