Sheet in foamed PP 3050x1220x2 mm white corona treated
PP-H, polypropylene homopolymer, is the stiffer and harder base version of polypropylene. The material is light, chemically resistant and welds excellently. It suits parts that have to take heat and moisture without needing the impact strength of the copolymer.
The density is 0.91 g/cm³, which makes the plastic lighter than water. The tensile modulus is 1435 MPa, the yield strength 32 MPa and the elongation at break above 50 percent. The notched Charpy impact strength sits at 8 kJ/m², the ball indentation hardness at 68 MPa and Shore D at 72. Vicat B/50 is 90 °C and the melting point 164 °C.
The maximum service temperature is 100 °C continuously and 130 °C for short periods; the lowest service temperature is 0 °C. Water absorption on immersion is below 0.1 percent and moisture absorption in a normal climate 0.01 percent. The fire rating is UL 94 HB. The natural, white and gray grades are approved for direct food contact.
PP-H is used for tanks, vats, ventilation ducts, laboratory furniture, cutting boards and machine guards in food and chemical environments. The material is machined with saw, mill and drill, but bonding works poorly because the surface energy is too low.
This sheet in PP-H is white corona treated and measures 3050x1220x2 mm, which suits cutting boards, linings, splash guards and machine guards. With the 3050x1220x2 mm dimensions and the white corona treated surface you get a sheet in PP-H that is particularly well suited to large workpieces that are to be cut to size. Would you like this sheet in PP-H with the 3050x1220x2 mm dimensions and the white corona treated surface cut or trimmed to your measurements? Add CTS to the cart.
