    The selected combination does not exist.

    PI, that is polyimide, is the most heat resistant plastic we sell. The yellow grade is the driest of the unfilled grades: it takes up about a third as much moisture as the brown one.

    Polyimide is amorphous and therefore has no melting point. The yellow grade is dimensionally stable up to 360 degrees and has a tensile strength of 130 MPa. Nor does it burn: it has an oxygen index of 49 percent, far above the 21 of air, and matches fire rating UL 94 V-0.

    The weakness is hydrolysis, that is hot water and steam, which PI is sensitive to in the upper temperature range. But dry and hot is where the yellow grade is at its best, in ovens, dryers and electronics that run warm.

    The sheet in PI measures 250x300 mm and is supplied in yellow. A practical sheet for you who are going to mill or saw out parts in polyimide.
