Sheet in PE-1000 Reg Ast 3000x1250 mm black

PE-1000 Reg Ast is a recycled version of PE-1000 with antistatic added. Ast stands for antistatic, meaning it does not build up a charge. Reg stands for regenerated, that is recycled material. It gives the same tough basic properties as virgin PE-1000 but with a wider spread in properties between batches. Recycled material is not suitable for food contact.

The density is 0.95 g/cm³, the yield strength 17 MPa and the elongation at break 200 percent. The ball indentation hardness is 34 MPa, Shore D 63 and the double notched impact strength above 80 kJ/m². The abrasion per Sand-Slurry is 130. The melting point is 135 °C.

The maximum service temperature is 80 °C and the minimum temperature -60 °C. The thermal conductivity is 0.40 W/(m·K) and the molecular weight 6 x 10⁶ g/mol. The fire rating is UL 94 HB.

PE-1000 Reg is used for wear liners, sliding surfaces and structural parts where high impact toughness and wear resistance are needed at a lower price.

Polyethylene is used for tanks, vats, tubes, linings, guards and many other industrial parts. The material can be sawn, drilled, milled and welded with ordinary tools for plastic. The exact properties vary between different grades.

The sheet in PE-1000 Reg Ast measures 3000x1250 mm and is black, which makes it a practical choice for countertops, linings and parts in food environments.
