    This product is made in polyethylene, one of the most used industrial plastics. Polyethylene is light, tough and chemically inert against most water borne media. It is a cost effective material for parts that have to take moisture, impact and chemicals.

    The water absorption is negligible, around 0.01 percent, so the material holds its dimensions even in a damp environment. The maximum service temperature for standard polyethylene is around 80 °C. The fire rating is usually UL 94 HB. The exact mechanical values vary between different grades and manufacturers.

    Polyethylene is used for tanks, vats, tubes, linings, guards and many other industrial parts. The material can be sawn, drilled, milled and welded with ordinary tools for plastic.
