FEP is a fully fluorinated fluoropolymer that in practice takes the same aggressive chemistry as PFA, but is cheaper and simpler to form. The service temperature goes to 205 degrees. The roll has glass fiber fabric on the back, the code GB, which gives the adhesive its grip since fluoropolymers cannot be glued.
The figures refer to the fluoropolymer layer, not to the fabric. The material holds down to -190 degrees, does not fracture in impact testing and has a yield strength of 25 MPa. The laminate bond has a shear strength above 5 MPa, the dielectric strength is 35 kV/mm and the material burns slowly to UL 94 V-0.
The roll is supplied in natural and is laid as a lining with the glass fiber side against the substrate, where few joints are an advantage. It suits chemically exposed tanks and ducts up to 205 degrees. We cut the roll to your dimensions.
