Round Rod in PA6 C FG 1000 mm black

This is a round rod made of PA6 C FG, cast polyamide 6 in a food approved grade.

The material is semi-crystalline and has a melting point of 218 °C.

The density is 1.15 g/cm³ and the moisture absorption at 23 degrees and 50 percent relative humidity sits at 2.5 percent.

The yield strength is 81 MPa, the elongation at break 38 percent and the tensile modulus 3375 MPa.

The ball indentation hardness is 163 MPa and Shore D 83. The continuous service temperature is 105 °C. The fire rating is HB.

Used for gears, sprockets, pulleys, slide strips, chain guides, wear plates, bearing bushings, shock absorbing blocks, wheels and rollers.

The rod can be turned, milled, drilled and tapped with tools meant for engineering plastics. Carbide and coated inserts work best. Moisture affects the dimensions, so let the material rest in the workshop climate before the finishing cuts.
