A safety window built for Nd:YAG and fiber lasers, with a detail that matters in modern machines: the protection also covers the red wavelength range. That is why the window can sit in equipment with seam tracking sensors and similar measuring systems without disturbing them.
The filter is made of a particularly laser-resistant acrylic (PMMA) in a dark green shade. The protection is based on absorption in the material itself: optical density OD 6+ in the near infrared range 1064 to 1100 nm and OD 4+ in red between 630 and 656 nm. The higher the OD number, the less laser light gets through. Certified per DIN EN 60825-4 and CE marked; see the full table under Technical data.
The 18 percent daylight transmission gives enough brightness and color vision to follow the process through the pane, even with larger beam diameters in machine guards and shielding.
The window is approximately 3 mm thick, comes in four standard sizes and can be made to measure up to 3000x2000 mm. Always check that the protection levels are sufficient for your particular laser; if you have a specific application in mind, we will help you choose the right one.
