This is welding rod in FEP, a fully fluorinated fluoropolymer with in practice the same chemical resistance as PFA, but cheaper and easier to weld. The rod is used to join and seal seams when FEP sheets and linings are put together.
We have no separate data sheet for the welding rod itself, so we give no measured values for this item. The strength of the material is its chemical tolerance and the fact that FEP is the easiest of the fluoropolymers to weld.
The rod is supplied in natural and is fed into a hot air welder when fluoropolymer layers are to be joined tight. It suits the sealing of linings in the chemical industry. Not sure whether the material suits your case? Get in touch with us.
