This is an industrial caster with a fixed bracket and two solid PA6 C wheels side by side, built for really heavy transport where the load has to follow a straight path. Both the tread and the hub are cast PA6 C with a hardness of 85 degrees Shore D, a stiff and dimensionally stable nylon that carries a lot of weight on a small area. The twin wheel design splits the load across two running surfaces, and together the series handles load capacities up to 5000 kg per unit.

Hard material rolls easily. PA6 C has low rolling resistance and gets moving without much force, even when the cart is fully loaded. The tread is barely compressed against the floor, so the contact area stays small and the friction low. That makes the caster efficient on even, hard floors such as polished concrete and sheet steel, where you want to move heavy pallets and machines with as little effort as possible.

Compare it with a soft wheel in rubber or polyurethane and the difference is clear. A soft wheel settles against the floor, cushions and runs quietly, but it compresses under a heavy load and increases the rolling resistance. PA6 C goes the other way: it rolls the easiest and carries the most, but it is hard, it can make noise and it can scratch sensitive or painted floors. Here you choose strength and low rolling force over comfort and quiet.

The fixed bracket holds the wheels in one direction, so the whole unit rolls straight ahead without swiveling. That gives stable guidance in transport systems where the goods have to follow a set path, and it works well together with swivel casters at the other end of a cart. The bracket is mounted with a top plate, a plate with four screw holes that gives a firm hold against a heavy underframe.

Inside each hub sit double ball bearings. Two rows of balls spread the load and keep the running smooth even when the weight is high and the wheel turns for a long time. That reduces wear on the bearing and keeps the wheel running easily over time.

The wheels come in diameters from 125 to 300 mm. A larger diameter rolls more easily over joints, thresholds and cable ducts and lowers the rolling resistance further, while a smaller one keeps the overall height down where ceiling height or the space under a machine is limited. The diameter is the first thing you choose, based on the condition of the floor and how heavy the load is.

If the caster stands still for a long time under full load, nylon is stable and takes no lasting flat spot, which is an advantage during long standstills.
