A safety window for CO2 lasers you can see straight through. The filter is completely colorless, transmits 90 percent of daylight and leaves color vision untouched; the operator sees the workpiece exactly as it is.
The protection sits in the material itself. The window is made of polycarbonate that absorbs the laser light throughout the bulk, with no reflective coatings that could be scratched off. Protection level DI LB4 applies at 5400 nm and 9000 to 11500 nm, where CO2 lasers operate. The window is CE marked per EN 60825-4 with 5 and 10 second test times; exact protection levels per wavelength are listed under Technical data.
The most common use is viewing windows in machine guards and enclosures around CO2 laser cutters and engraving machines. At 6 mm thickness it works as a full machine window, not just as a screen.
The window comes in four standard sizes and can be made to measure up to 3000x2000 mm. Always calculate the protection level your laser requires and compare it with the window's ratings before ordering; unsure about the calculation? Get in touch and we will sort it out together.
