    This is a hollow bar made of PA6 C MoS², cast polyamide 6 with molybdenum disulfide added as a dry lubricant.

    The material is semi-crystalline and has a melting point of 219 °C.

    The density is 1.15 g/cm³, the yield strength 81 MPa and the elongation at break 48 percent.

    The tensile modulus is 3200 MPa and the sliding friction against steel 0.32 dry.

    The continuous service temperature is 103 °C, 165 °C for short periods and the lowest working temperature -40 °C. The fire rating is HB.

    Used for bearing bushings, slide strips, chain guides, wear rails and other sliding surfaces that have to run dry without regular relubrication.

    The tube can be sawn, milled, drilled and turned with tools meant for engineering plastics. When fitting bearing bushings and the like it is important to compensate for the moisture uptake so the dimensions hold after assembly.

    This particular hollow bar in PA6 C MoS² measuring 350 x 275 x 900 mm in the color black suits dry sliding surfaces such as bearing bushings, slide strips and wear rails without regular lubrication.
