The selected combination does not exist.

MF20 in matte white is a furniture glide in TPE, thermoplastic elastomer, with a diameter of 25 mm and a height of 10 mm. It screws under the furniture leg and gives a soft, rubber-like contact surface against the floor; the leg slides quietly instead of scraping, and the floor is spared the marks. The 3.5 mm screw hole is countersunk, so the screw head is hidden in the glide and never reaches the floor.

TPE behaves like rubber but is made and ages like a thermoplastic. The material is elastic and grips the surface, which gives chairs and tables a degree of slip resistance, while being soft enough not to scratch floors in wood, tile or linoleum. The elastomer also damps structure borne noise; the scraping that otherwise travels through the floor structure largely disappears at the source. And unlike felt pads, the surface does not collect grit.

Compared with hard plastic glides the difference is greatest in noise and floor wear; compared with felt it is a question of service life and upkeep. Felt wears out, comes loose and has to be replaced often, while a screwed elastomer glide stays put and takes wet mopping, cleaning machines and cleaning agents without letting go. For premises that are cleaned daily that is often the whole argument.

The white color is the point of this particular version. Under white painted chair legs, light colored tables and shop interiors in light tones the glide blends in instead of showing as a dark dot under every leg; anyone designing light public spaces knows how much details like that disturb the whole. If you need the same glide for dark furniture, MF20 also comes in black in several diameters.

In public spaces the glides do the most good: classrooms, conference rooms, dining halls and waiting rooms where chairs are pulled in and out hundreds of times a day. The noise level drops noticeably when hard leg ends are replaced with elastomer, and floor maintenance goes down when the scratches never happen in the first place. Property owners also tend to see the effect in the condition of the floors at the next sanding interval. Care settings appreciate that the glide is easy to wipe down and does not soak up spills. It does good at home too, not least under kitchen chairs on a newly laid wooden floor.

Fitting works just as well in production as when retrofitting. Predrill in the center of the leg, drive a screw with a countersunk head through the glide and check that it sits flat; nothing more than a screwdriver is needed. A screw is not included, but an ordinary countersunk head screw in a suitable length works; choose the length so that the tip does not risk going through slender legs. When refurbishing existing furniture it is one of the quickest ways to lift both function and appearance.

The 25 mm diameter suits most chair and table legs in standard sizes, and the 10 mm height adds barely noticeable leg length while giving enough material for the glide to give and to wear for a long time. If the leg is slimmer than the glide it makes no functional difference, but for looks you usually want the glide to follow the diameter of the leg; better to measure once too often. Complete dimensions, including the 4 mm depth of the countersink, are in the manufacturer's data sheet.

The glide is supplied in packs of 500 pieces; that is enough for 125 chairs with four legs, so furniture makers and property managers can equip whole stocks of furniture out of the same box.
