Sheet in PA6.6+PE 3000x610 mm natural

This is a sheet made of PA6.6+PE, polyamide 6.6 with polyethylene blended in.

The material is semi-crystalline and has a melting point of 260 °C.

The density is 1.11 g/cm³ and the moisture absorption at 23 degrees and 50 percent relative humidity is 2.2 percent.

The yield strength is 70 MPa, the elongation at break above 40 percent and the tensile modulus 2700 MPa.

The polyethylene lowers the friction against steel and makes the material tougher than pure PA6.6. The continuous service temperature is 105 °C.

Used for gears, sprockets, slide strips, bearing bushings, wear plates and structural parts that need a little higher stiffness and heat resistance than PA6.

The plastic can be sawn, milled, turned and drilled with tools meant for engineering plastics. Sharp inserts give a cleaner surface when milling. Moisture affects the dimensions, so let the material rest in the workshop climate before the finishing cuts.

This particular sheet in PA6.6+PE measuring 3000 x 610 mm in the color natural suits gears, slide strips, bearing bushings and wear plates where somewhat higher stiffness than PA6 is needed. Cut to size on request.
