A Sheet in PC GF30 is polycarbonate reinforced with 30 percent glass fiber. GF30 stands for glass fiber at the stated content, that is, reinforced with 30 percent glass fiber, which makes the material stiffer and more dimensionally stable. The addition turns PC from a see-through impact resistant material into an opaque structural material.

The density rises to 1.43 g/cm³. The tensile strength is 85 MPa, the stress at break 55 MPa and the elongation at break 5 percent. The tensile modulus is 4 700 MPa and the flexural modulus 4 600 MPa. The flexural strength is 138 MPa, the compressive modulus 3 300 MPa and the ball indentation hardness 150 MPa. Shore D is 88.

The impact strength in the unnotched Charpy test is 58 kJ/m² and notched 8 kJ/m². The glass transition temperature is 147 °C and Vicat B/50 148 °C. HDT/A 1.8 MPa is 135 °C. The maximum service temperature is 120 °C continuous and 140 °C for short periods. The thermal expansion drops to 45 x 10⁻⁶ per kelvin.

The thermal conductivity is 0.28 W/(m·K), the specific heat capacity 1.1 J/(g·K), the moisture absorption 0.08 percent and the water absorption at saturation 0.2 percent. The dielectric constant is 3.5 at 1 MHz and the dielectric strength 36 kV/mm. The CTI is 175 V.

PC GF30 is used where dimensional stability and stiffness weigh heavier than transparency, for example brackets, fixtures, covers and structural parts that have to hold their dimensions under load and heat.
