Sheet in PI MoS² 500x300 mm black

PI, that is polyimide, is the most heat resistant plastic we sell. This grade has MoS², that is added dry lubricant, so the surface slides without oil. It suits plain bearings and guides where you neither can nor want to lubricate.

Unlike the graphite grades, the MoS² grade keeps more of its toughness: the elongation at break is 3.5 percent. The tensile strength sits at 95 MPa. The material has no melting point and matches fire rating UL 94 V-0.

The weakness is hydrolysis, that is hot water and steam, which all PI is sensitive to. Where the surface has to slide dry and take heat, this grade is a safe choice.

This sheet in PI MoS² is 500x300 mm in black, a format that suits wear plates, sliding surfaces and bearing blanks that are then cut or machined to size.
