This is a swiveling industrial caster with a solid wheel in polypropylene and a swivel bracket that turns a full 360 degrees. The bracket is mounted with a top plate, that is a square mounting plate with four screw holes, which gives a stable and substantial fastening against a cart frame or a machine base. The series comes both with a directional lock, which holds the wheel straight until you need to turn, and with a total lock brake, which locks wheel and swivel at the same time when the rig is to stand still.

The tread is polypropylene with a hardness of 65 Shore D. It is a hard material that barely gives way under load, and that is exactly the key to the caster's low rolling resistance. When the running surface is not squeezed together, the contact patch against the floor stays small, and then little force is needed to get the wheel going and keep it rolling. On an even floor the ride is light and quick. PP also takes moisture, many chemicals and cleaning agents without swelling, which makes the tread durable in a workshop environment.

A comparison helps if you want to understand where the caster belongs. A soft wheel in rubber or polyurethane flexes, damps noise and spares delicate floors, but it rolls more sluggishly and carries less. A hard PP wheel takes the other road with easy rolling and high chemical resistance at the price of a harder ride and more noise. That is why this family is happiest on clean, flat industrial floors and less happy on rough concrete or outdoors.

The hub is polypropylene, so the wheel is light and does not rust even in damp premises. Bearings come in two versions. The plain bearing is simple and maintenance free and takes dust and wet, suitable where the caster does not roll far. The ball bearing gives lower rolling resistance and a smoother run and fits best when the caster is moved often. Together with the top plate and the hard tread, the caster carries up to 200 kg, which is enough for medium heavy workshop carts and rolling racks.

The wheels come in diameters from 100 to 125 mm. A larger diameter rolls more smoothly over joints and cable ducts and lowers the rolling resistance, while a smaller one keeps the overall height down where space is tight. The top plate gives a wider and more stable fastening than a bolt hole, which is an advantage under heavier or taller rigs that otherwise wobble easily. The directional lock is worth highlighting: it locks the swivel in the direction of travel so that a long cart keeps a straight track, and releases when you need to maneuver at a crossing or around a corner.

Where does it fit? The top plate mounting and the load capacity make the caster a good choice under assembly carts, material carts, tool cabinets on wheels and rolling machine underframes in workshops and warehouses. The directional lock version suits longer transport carts that are to roll straight down an aisle, while the total lock brake version fits workplaces where the cart has to stand completely still.

Think about the operating environment. PP handles normal indoor temperature and dry to damp premises. On rough or uneven floors the ride turns hard and the shocks are passed on to the load, and then a softer wheel is the better alternative. Check as well that the surface takes the point load from a small, hard contact patch.
