This is a swiveling industrial caster cast in solid PA6 C, a cast nylon with a hardness of 85 degrees Shore D. Tread and hub are the same material in a homogeneous body, and that is what gives the wheel the stiffness really heavy loads demand. The series carries up to 5000 kg per wheel, which puts this wheel among the heaviest in the range.

PA6 C is the cast version of nylon and takes high load well. The hard surface keeps a small contact patch against the floor, and that is why the wheel rolls with low rolling resistance despite the high load. Nylon generally has the lowest rolling force of the tread materials, and with several tons on the cart that property becomes decisive: a heavier-rolling wheel would turn every pull away into hard work. The material handles moisture and most of the oils, greases and mild chemicals in an industrial setting and wears slowly.

When the load is this high, the choice of tread material becomes a question of capacity, not comfort. A soft rubber or polyurethane wheel runs more quietly and is kinder to the floor, but it manages only a fraction of this load capacity and would deform under the weight. PA6 C goes the other way: full load capacity and low rolling force on a hard floor, against a wheel that makes more noise and needs an even, load-bearing surface. For heavy transport that is an obvious trade-off.

This version has double ball bearings. The bearing spreads the load over two rows of balls and gives stable, smooth running even under very heavy load, which is exactly what is needed when the cart is fully laden. It keeps the rolling resistance down and takes the radial load that several tons bring.

The diameter spans from 100 to 300 mm. A large diameter is preferable at high load, since it rolls more easily over joints, thresholds and floor unevenness and lowers the force needed to get the cart moving. A smaller diameter keeps the overall height down where space under the goods is tight. The swivel bracket makes the caster swiveling through 360 degrees so a heavy cart can still be maneuvered, and the bracket is bolted down with a top plate that gives four strong fastening points against the underframe.

If you want to park the load safely, the series is available with two brake options. The wheel brake locks the rotation of the wheel, while the total lock brake locks both the wheel and the swivel function at the same time. On a sloping floor, or when loading and unloading heavy goods, a brake is often necessary.

Where does it fit? This wheel is built for the heaviest transport in industry. It sits under heavy machine underframes, sturdy transport carts, molds, engine blocks and other goods that weigh tons. It works in workshops, foundries, heavy manufacturing and warehouses where the floor is hard and the load is extreme. PA6 C also stands up to moisture and spills, so it lasts in an environment that gets cleaned.

Think about the surface. A hard wheel with this load capacity wants an even, load-bearing floor; on a weak or uneven surface the running gets harsh and the floor takes the punishment. On reinforced concrete and steel floors PA6 C comes into its own, with low rolling force and high capacity.
