Ordering and delivery
How long is the delivery time?
Normally 3 to 7 working days depending on material and quantity. Standard materials such as PE, PP, POM and PA are often in stock at our manufacturers and can be shipped within 1 to 2 days. Special materials and unusual dimensions can take 2 to 4 weeks.
Can you cut to size?
Yes. You can either use VisualCutter, where you pick the material and enter the dimensions yourself, or email us your request. A cutting fee is added.
What does shipping cost?
The shipping cost depends on weight, dimensions, delivery address and which warehouse the material sits in. We work primarily with DHL, but also with DSV.
Do you ship abroad?
We deliver primarily within Sweden but also handle deliveries to Norway, Finland and the rest of Europe. Contact us for a quote on deliveries outside Sweden.
Is there a minimum order?
We have a minimum order value of 500 kr. Beyond that you can order anything from a single rod to a full pallet. Note that the shipping cost can become disproportionately high on very small orders.
Can I pick up my order?
The material is shipped directly from the manufacturer, so pickup is normally not possible. On larger orders we can arrange collection in exceptional cases. Contact us to discuss the alternatives.
Material and quality
Is the material approved for food contact?
Many of our materials are available in food approved grades (FDA, EU 10/2011). If you need a certificate you have to order it together with the material order. See the material page in question for information on which grades are available.
Can I get technical datasheets?
Yes. Technical datasheets (TDS) and safety data sheets (MSDS) are available on each material page in the web shop. We publish average values based on the specifications of European manufacturers.
Where is the material made?
We work only with European manufacturers certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Most of the material is made in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands.
What tolerances apply?
Tolerances vary with the material and the manufacturing method. Extruded products normally have tolerances to DIN 16941 or DIN 16942. Cast products (for example cast PA6) have wider tolerances. Contact us if you have tight tolerance requirements.
What is the difference between extruded and cast material?
Extruded material is pressed through a die and has more even properties and tighter tolerances. Cast material (for example cast PA6/PA6 C) is cast in molds and comes in larger dimensions but with wider tolerances. Cast material often has better mechanical properties in thicker dimensions.
Prices and payment
Why do I not see any prices?
PlastShop is a B2B platform. Log in with your company account to see prices. New customers register easily through the web shop. Prices are shown excluding VAT.
What payment options are there?
We use Mollie as our payment provider, which lets us offer payment by card, Swish or Klarna. New customers pay in advance. Contract customers can get an invoice with 15 to 30 days of credit after a credit check.
Can I get a quantity discount?
Yes. We offer volume prices on larger orders. Contact us for a quote if you plan to order regularly or in larger volumes.
Digital tools
What is VisualCutter?
VisualCutter is our tool for cutting optimization. You enter the stock dimensions and the pieces you want, and the tool calculates the most material efficient cutting plan. It works for both sheets (2D) and rods and tubes (1D). The result is shown visually with SVG graphics.
What is the weight calculator?
The weight calculator helps you estimate the weight of plastic parts based on shape, dimensions and the density of the material. Useful for working out shipping cost and material cost before you order.
How do I compare materials?
Use our material comparator to compare technical properties between different plastic materials side by side. You find it under Tools in the menu.
